How To Make Your Own Lip Kit At Dirt Cheap Price!!!

20.9.18 0 Comments
Beauty trends are blinding...and more so, post the Instagram era!!
One thing that saddens me is that too much of information laid on our platter is actually killing our power to innovate and create our own little DIY ways of following the trends with a happy pocket! I mean why on earth do you want someone else to match a liquid lipstick and a lip liner for you? Isn't that what we all have been doing to keep our creamy/bleeding lipsticks in their place all this while?
I wouldn't call this a cheaper version of Kylie Lip Kit or the Huda ones because you do get good quality when you spend on the bigger brands but this is functional and definitely
as-cheap-as-it-gets!!

Things You'll Need!!
  • Liquid Lipstick
  • Matching Lip Liner
AND THEY NEED NOT BE OF THE SAME BRAND..just MATCHING!

Liquid Lipstick: Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams
Price: INR 165/-
I went for the Miss Claire Lip Creams in place of the liquid lipsticks. These are clear dupes of the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams. The texture is a dream on your lips. They are buttery soft, smell like vanilla and stay on for a decent amount of time.
Look at the price..I ask no more!!
I just have one complain from them, although they come in around 60 shades; the shades are pretty much similar with loads of pinks and corals...a few reds and oranges...and just 2-3 nudes and browns!
Having said that, you can opt for any other liquid lipstick since even Indian market has no dearth of it anymore. A few suggestions would be from Lakme, Revlon, Colorbar, Colourpop, Sugar Cosmetics.

Lip Liner: Miss Claire Glimmersticks for Lips
Price: INR 30/-
After having such a wonderful experience with their Lip Creams, I was dying to give their lip liners a try and finding that they only retailed for 30/- I ordered three. Now these aren't really the creamiest lip liners that I have used. They might not fare well if you would try to apply them all over your lip, but as a lip liner they work okay..and don't forget 30/-
Since they are on the drying side, moistening  of the lips using a lip balm is highly recommended.
(I love their lip creams But I'm surely never repurchasing their lip liners)

The lip combos thus are:
Combo-1
Miss Claire Lip Liner in Romantic Pink (L-20) With Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream in 17A

Combo-2
Miss Claire Lip Liner in Pretty Pink (L-15) With Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream in 12

Combo-3
Miss Claire Lip Liner in Nude Wine (L-19) With Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream in 10

The prices mentioned here may vary from seller to seller and consequently the price of the combo may go up or down. I have mentioned the price at which I got the products.
So let your creative juices flow and create your own lip kits !!
Hope you liked the post..stay tuned for more!

Deepika Padukone INSPIRED Makeup Look!!

19.7.17 13 Comments
Inspired Looks are fun...be it watching or recreating myself. I would still maintain what I said in my Priyanka Chopra Inspired Look that watching transformation videos is probably my favourite leisure activity. I don't really know how far I do justice with the looks but the amount of love I received from you all for my Devasena Inspired Look of Bahubali and others keeps me going.

Deepika's Look
Coming to this picture of Deepika, ever since I came across it in Piku days I wanted to give it a try but something or the other kept emerging and the much wanted got delayed.
What I particularly liked about this look is that it is pretty much non-fussy..less-drama..true-to-me sort of a look. I love the sheer coverage of her foundation and the little imperfections of the skin showing through...gets real!! Her makeup artist has majorly played with her eyebrows and eyes only while keeping the rest muted. I also don't see much contour/highlight going on,though a subtle blush is visible for sure. The muted nude lips are the best choice for those heavily kohled eyes.
The look gets enhanced by her beautiful deep red and black chanderi saree with that thin golden border. The chaandbaalis did full justice to her evening out/occasion look.

Products Used
This is probably THE only look where I've used least amount of products. ( I hope you find them least since I use more than this for a regular occasion ;)
Getting back to the products used:
Face:
Eyes:
 Lips:
 How I Did!!

  • Since Deepika had a very basic and sheer makeup base, I skipped the primer and concealer and applied a very thin layer of foundation which was followed by the pressed powder just under the eyes and T-zone!
  • Its probably for the first time that I skipped contouring and highlighting rather just applied the blush with the lightest hand on the apples of my cheek.
  • I applied an orangey nude eyeshadow as the transition shade and a wash of matte black eyeshadow all over the lid. I applied the maybelline gel eyeliner giving it a slight wing and kohl in the waterline and tight-lined too.
  • I skipped the falsies and just applies 2-3 coats of mascara.
  • For the lips, I first applies the lipstick and then topped it with the lip cream for a nude matte look.
  • Bindi, chaandbaali and saree in a similar hue completed the look.

Hope you guys like it!
Let me know in the comment box if you want me to do recreate a particular look :)

Miss Claire Intense Butter Gloss in Chocolate Crepe : Review, Price, Swatches, LOTD

22.5.16 11 Comments

Holaaa!!
They say too much of anything is bad..for me too much of anything gets boring!!
To kill the matte lips boredom,I got myself Miss Claire Intense Butter Gloss in my recent haul..check out the pics before I tell you more!!

Price: INR 200/-

Just like the Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams are said to be dupes of Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams, these butter glosses are known to be dupes of Nyx Butter Gloss!
This is the most pigmented and the best smelling lip gloss I have ever used. It smells like you have a scoop of both vanilla and butterscotch in your cone...too edible!!
The applicator, surprisingly,is very flexible unlike their matte lip cream ones and application is a cake walk!
These unlike those have NAMES...a BIG yayyy for that. The shade Chocolate Crepe BG-06 (BG is for Butter Gloss obviously) is somewhat a dupe of Nyx Praline. Its a perfect nude lip gloss for us Indians, brown with pink undertones. The shade below is the closest to the real!
It feels butter smooth and stays for about 3hours. I don't have huge expectations in terms of staying power from glosses or glossy lipsticks anyway plus it doesn't leave lips bare. When its gone, you are left with hydrated/nude tinted lips!
Being a gloss it does transfer, but that's only obvious!

Over All rating: 5/5

Dupe That!! Miss Claire Lip Cream No.17: Review, Swatches, Price, LOTD, FOTD

14.5.16 14 Comments

The world is going crazy for matte liquid lip colours and I like to join the madness when things interest me..
The brand Miss Claire has been in the market for quite sometime now but due to its availability issues and the variation in prices, not everybody has had a chance to grab it!
I recently spotted it at a store in the vicinity..and the rest like they say....is history!!!
Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams are said to be exact dupe of Nyx Lip Creams in terms of packaging and formula!
The brand claims that its neither lipstick nor gloss, its lipstick cream that settles to a soft matte finish!

Price: INR 150 - 250/-

Miss Claire Lip Creams like I say are dupes of Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream and this particular shade is pretty close to Nyx London!
It applies like a dream and even after having it on for some time,it doesn't get dry and patchy like Incolor Matte Me lip cream
It stays creamy, infact you dont even feel you are wearing anything on your lips!
Another boon is that it is densely pigmented! You need another swipe only for precision and not for coverage.
Staying power is too good considering its a light shade and it is a lip cream. It stayed for around 5 hours on me!!
The shade No.17 is a muddy brown kinda nude,I do see a lot of yellow in it...a purrrrrfffect MLBB shade to me,and this is how it looks on me!
They are available in some local stores and many Instagram sellers are also retailing these!
All in All...Its a total Love!!

Over All Rating: 5/5

P.S. If you can lay your hands on these, you're lucky... and if you can't..read Madhubani's blog post here regarding their availability!

What do you do when in the middle of night you suddenly wake up only to know that you can't put yourself to sleep again? And what do you further do when you go berserk watching videos of your youtuber friends?
I appreciate their work and get jealous of all the stuff they have!!! :P
Remedy????? -----------> HAUL !!!!

These are the few products I bought recently:

Lakme 9 to 5 Matte Lipsticks (450/-) in Coffee Command, Scarlet Drill, Orange Edge and Brownie Point!!!
Love them to death!!!

Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Liner (400/-) in Red Alert..there's something amazingly exciting about this lip liner...Needs a whole post!!
Wait you guys!!!!!

Lakme 9 to 5 Frosties Nail Paint (200/-)  in Purple Frost..I'm a lil' skeptical about this one,yet to try!!

Lakme Absolute Gel Stylist Nail Paint (400/-) in Tomato Tango..purchased for the first time..
You always need that one bright red nail paint in your stash!

Lakme Jewel Sindoor (140/-) in Maroon..repurchase!
L'oreal Paris Kajal Magique (275/-) ..now this is a repurchase.
Its a decent one and does a good job!!

Maybelline Matte+Poreless Fit Me Foundation (525/-) in the shade Sun Beige 310..this has been making so much noise,
I had to try.
Though I'm a little confused whether Sun Beige 310 is good match for my NC35ish skin tone or Natural Buff 230..
Probably a bit of both would work!
Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel eyeliner (499/-) in Black..Where on earth was I hibernating to not give this gem a try yet..
where-oh-where!!

Maybelline 14HR Super stay Lipstick (575/-) in Timeless Crimson..I know its hot and the shade is fall-suited..
BUT I still wanted!

Faces Long Wear Eye Pencils (449/-) in Navy Blue and Forest Green...
Third time repurchase!!!
THE search for coloured eye pencils ends HERE!!!

Swiss Beauty Dip & Twist Nail Lacquer Remover Sponge (160/-)....phewww!!
They could have surely given it a smaller name!
Its a dupe of Colorbar Ultimate Nail Enamel Remover at the fraction of a price!

And I FINALLY got Miss Claire Lip Cream and Butter Gloss!!

Miss Claire Lip Cream (200/-) in 17A.. Fingers on my lips...Review would be up soon!!

Miss Claire Butter Gloss (200/-) in BG-06.. Fingers on my Lips again...

Purple-Orange Eye Makeup Tutorial: My First EOTD :)

17.7.13 45 Comments
Not that I'm new to eye makeup..I've never done a post on it.
And that's pretty much a reason why I posted this pic on Facebook yesterday, because I wanted to know if you guys really like it!!
To all those who follow me on Facebook and those who appreciated the look...Thank You <3
And here's the tute :

Products Used:
  • Colorbar concealer stick in Caramel Treat
  • BYS eye shadow mousse in Gold
  • 120 eyeshadow palette
  • Miss Claire single eyeshadow no.0231
  • Maybelline Chai latte Quad
  • Lakme Insta eyeliner
  • Eye lash Curler
  • Maybelline Collosal Mascara
  • Avon Coloured Kohl in Brown Black
  • Vega angled eye brush
  • Coastal Scents brush
  • Faces eyeshadow brush

Method:
  • First of all conceal the under eyes. I have used colorbar concealer stick in Caramel treat.
  • Apply Primer. I've used BYS eyeshadow mousse in gold as a primer (don't go by the name its not shimmery)
  • Take a bright orange eyeshadow and pack 3/4 of your eyelids with it (pat-pat motion,no sweeping)
  • Apply a bright purple eyeshadow on the out corners of your eyes, making a V shape.
  • Blend the purple eyeshadow in the crease as well.
  • Blend..Blend..Blend for a seamless look.
  • Apply a silver/off white eyeshadow on the brow bone. I've used Miss Claire eyeshadow no.0231 for highlighting the brow bone.
  • Apply a black eyeliner (liquid/gel) giving it a slight winged shape.
  • Apply kohl on your waterline.
  • Now apply the same eyeliner below the lashline..corner to corner.
  • Curl your lashes.
  • Apply 2-3 coats of mascara..better still wear falsies!
  • Groom your eyebrows , I've applied the dark brown eyeshadow from the Maybelline chai latte quad using the vega angled brush to fill up the gaps of my eye brows. I applied a bit of Vaseline instead of an eyebrow wax..to keep the hair in place :P
  • Ta..daaaa..you're done :)
Hope you liked it :)
P.S. I'm new into the eye-makeup arena..so suggestion are welcome!!
