Lakme 9 to 5 Matte Lipcolour in Rosy Sunday: Price, Review,Swatches,LOTD

If you follow me on instagram and facebook, you would've already seen me wearing this yesterday..if not head there for a FOTD :P
When asked about the favorite lipstick that's affordable too,Lakme 9 to 5 matte range pops up in my mind in a nano second!
I have used and reviewed Oak Table from the same range when they were launched and wasn't the biggest fan of it then,since I wasn't into the matte-love-phase like I'm now.
To cut the story short..head on to the pics:

Price: INR 450/- /3.6ml

I have always been totally in love with their packaging..its slender,it click locks AND its rosegold!
The texture is best one could gt at this price range..its creamy matte..doesn't tug/pull or dryout and settles to a matte lip cream kinda finish.

The shade Rosy Sunday is a total winner!! Its a warm muted pink with peach/brick undertones. Its a pink for those who LOVE pink and a pink for those who DO NOT LOVE pink..at the same time. it will suit one and all and will go with whatever you are wearing..SAFE shade!!

It stayed 4-5 hours on me with meals and I don't ask for more :D

Lotus Safe Sun Sunscreen Gel SPF 20: Review and Price

Seeing sun and hiding away is something we are accustomed to pretty well.. I remember a sunscreen advertisement of a particular brand that showed the girl avoiding sun and walking in shade in a weird and funny way...and I could relate so much with her!!

I'm not new Lotus sunscreens but this Lotus Herbals Safe Sun Sunscreen Gel SPF 20 is new for me.

Price/Quantity: INR 245/100gm

Now!! I have a love-hate relationship with this product!!

Love it...for its pump dispenser packaging!

Hate it...because SPF 20 doesn't seem enough!

Love it...as it is non-greasy,doesn't make skin oily/shiny!

Hate it...its herbal yet loaded with chemicals (read parabens too)!

Love it...for it keeps me sweat-free!
Hate it...for it says nothing about UVA/UVB rays!

Love it...because it being gel it gives a smoother,primed base for makeup application!

Hate it...no mention of PA+++

Despite all the hating,I still like the product on days of minimal sun exposure because of its packaging,smell and the finish that it gives!

Over All Raing: 3.5/5

*P.S. SPF indicates the level of protection against UVB rays while PA+++ indicates the level of protection against UVA rays.

Lotus Herbals Tea Tree face Pack- INR 295/120g

Home Alone....a mason jar full of Mint Mojito...Music of my kind..Dimly lit house... THIS is vacation for me!! Add to that a warm foot soak and a pack on my face..THIS gets EXXXOTIC!!!

And this brings me to the product of the day---->Lotus Herbals Tea Tree Clear Face Pack

A few pictures to get to know the product below:

I've been using Lotus sunscreen/sunblock for as long as I can look back and a few of their other products have gone well with me but a face pack from them was fairly new to my experience.

The packaging is simple and practical.

Texture wise,it is smooth and the consistency is thick. I personally like thick layer of masks/packs, so I use it just that way. If you like spreading thinner layer you could add a bit of water,make it a tad bit thinner and apply. Any which way it will last you for a long time.

It gives a cooling and tingling sensation in the first few seconds of application.

Now the worst part... It smells awful!

Like I had a real tough time to compare the smell to something known to explain to you guys and the closest I could get was Phenoyl!

I know eeeeekkks..but that's how it smells :/

It does clarify the skin and since I'm having good skin days (eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....Touch Wood!) I can't really say how it fares on pimples and acne blemishes.

Its HERBAL and it has PARABENS..get the pun..?????

Maybelline Pink Alert Lipstick in POW 4: Review,Price and Swatches

I have always been very firm about the fact that the yellow in my skin makes me run away from cool toned pinks..more so if they are bright and neony. Still I took a plunge into Maybelline Pink Alert POW 4.

Product details are in the pics below:

Price: INR 425/-

The packaging is similar to other colour sensational lippies,just that these have bright pink bullet case with the shade name .

The shade is a bright coral pink..a very in your face kinds. It's bright enough to lean towards neon.

It is shiny in no matter which light you wear it in.

It kinda sits on my lips and I carry the feeling of something on my lips all the time.. it's sticky and transfers to the cups and spoons. Not one of the formulas that I like for sure.

Pigmentation wise it fairs pretty well. It does form an opaque layer even on pigmented lips.

Neither the shade nor the formula makes me go ga-ga over it,plus I'm superbly into matte phase these days..So No!

Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector with Spf 24: Review,Price and Swatches

Yaa yaa I know..everybody ... I mean everyyyyyyyyyybody has used and reviewed this BB cream,it was just me who was hibernating blissfully.

The reason being...I didn't buy it when it was launched because the moment I thought of another BB Cream,the ones sitting in my stash gave me a cold stare.

Heading straight to my experience regarding the Garnier BB Cream---> here we go!!!

Ingredients:

Price/Quantity: INR 199/40gm

My Take:

It comes in a skin coloured,squeezy kinds plastic tube with a white cap. It has a long nozzle that helps controlling the amount you want to squeeze out. All the basic info is on the tube itself. Its Easy to use and good to travel along!

Garnier BB Cream gives a sheer coverage on me,though I have heard people talking about its sheer to medium coverage. It adds a sheen to the skin and brightens up the face..only when compared to a bare face.

Its good for college goers and even otherwise if you are blessed with a good skin itself. It is pretty hydrating so even if you have a dry skin,you don't really need anything beneath it or you could go all shinny around the town!

I DID EXPECT a bit more coverage given the fact that I have used other BB Creams and the homemade one. Else I might add quarter of a drop of my foundation to it to make it work for me as a BB Cream and not just a moisturizer!
Comes in just one shade :/

Everyone wants to retain a youthful skin for as long as humanly possible. Using a night cream should be an integral part of everyone's skin care regimen for that youthful skin, but it is often overlooked. During sleep,our bodies are healing, re-energizing and renewing and our skin is no different.At night,our skin shifts into a restorative mode,working to undo some of the damage done during the day.

Shifting focus to the product of the day- Himalaya Herbals Revitalizing Night Cream. I was sent a few new launches by Himalaya Herbals in the skin care department and this was one of them.

I got this a while back and was busy testing.The pics were clicked as soon as the package was received..I'm happily hitting bottom now.
Price/Quantity: INR 200/50gm

My Take:

Hey..like I said in my previous post..I'll be doing less detailed reviews given the fact that my daughter hates me to sit with any gizmo...One Demanding Gal She Is....so,to cut the story short..read on my Views:

Till now all the night cream I've used comes in jar packaging (I haven't used a bucket full though..still) and I often wonder how about a night cream in a sweety,squeezy tube? You are in control of the quantity,its unbreakable and it screams take me along when you are travelling!!! But...but...but...jar packaging again and that too glass jar!!

The texture is smooth. It spreads on skin like a dream and gets absorbed nice and quick. It smells really refreshing..like my son notices everytime I have this on! So gals..MEN LIKE IT ;)

It boasts of white lily and tomato but it does have a few chemicals (I couldn't find parabens though)

It is highly suited for oily/combi skin. Though it is hydrating,its not greasy at all.

It gives me a soft,supple,plumped up skin in the morning.

Easy to spread,quick absorption,nice smell,hydrated skin...I don't ask for more!
Probably one of the best in this price bracket!

Hola Chicaaaaas...

You guys must be wondering why I don't post much on the blog these days..

Like I'm not MIA (I'm posting and commenting on other social media) still I'm not keeping up much on the blog front!

The reason is my 22months old daughter. She hates me to have any sort of electronic gadget around me. Basically she wants all of me,JUST for her!!

So,I decided instead of waiting for THAT one fine day and pen my views on products,I would come up with mini reviews as and when possible.

Meanwhile I'm leaving all you guys with funny images of busy-bee mom life I found on google!

Its strenuous, its loss of freedom but its something super normal that everybody goes through (specially if you have nobody athome to give the child some company during your pee-n-poo-visits) and most importantly it is what I wished for!

I do miss blogging..HUGELY for that matter..but THIS is the time they need me...Priorities!

And this is how I work/type.. She on Me!!!!
