Price: $12.39 (I got it for $9.96,paid less than Rs.600 then)

Packaging:
Pro 120 Full Colour Palette comes in a sturdy black case and looks like a mini laptop. It click locks to ensure the safety of the product inside It contains of two trays with 6o eye shadows each. The trays are not attached and can be taken out easily. Both the trays have a thick plastic sheet sheet cut out over them so the the product doesn't get scratched or broken. Over all the packaging is neat and quite good for the price.

Pigmentation:
Oh yeah....you can make that out from the swatches most of the shades are super-duper pigmented. So much so that you really need to have a light hand while applying these as they are very capable of making one look like a clown if used with a heavy hand. Having said that, the palette also has few eyeshadows of veluxe finish which are comparatively very less pigmented..but like I said MOST of the shades are super pigmented.
Tip: Don't forget to tap the brush downward so as to remove the excess amount.

Finish:
Its a huge palette with various eyeshadow finishes ranging from matte, frost, satin to luster.. But I notice more mattes!

My Take:
I got this Pro 120 Full Colour Palette from Buyincoins.com around 6months back, the reason being my wish to plunge in the pools of eye looks and I'm happy I did since it caters to most of my needs. It has multitude shades from all the colours. Different shadows are different in terms of finishes, pigmentation and fall out for eg. the shimmery black eyeshadow (third form right in the first row) is one of the most beautiful shade and it is super pigmented but it suffers from major fall out! Also the shadows are not waterproof, they spread and smudge easily with just a splash of water.
And this is what I came up with using this palette!!!

My Likes:
  • Its has a huge variety of colours.
  • You get different finshes (matte/satin/luster) all in one palette.
  • Nice packaging.
  • Super affordable.
  • The trays come out..easy for application!
  • Easy to carry a palette than different singles.
  • Colours are very saturated.
  • Blending them isn't an issue.
My Dislikes:
  • Some eyeshadows have fall out issues.
  • Some appear different in pan but are similar on application.
  • Not waterproof.
  • 5 of the eyeshadows came broken,I fixed them :(
  • You can get coastal scents or bh cosmetics palette which just a little higher in price when on sale.
Last Word:
Despite the cons mentioned above, its an amazing palette to start off with.I'm looking forward to do various eye looks with this baby!

Repurchase:
I won't finish this anytime soon!

Over All Rating: 4/5
Wait for my next post to see the swatches of another 60 eyeshadows from the second tray :)

P.S. The swatches above are on bare skin without primer.

Lakme 9 to 5 Matte Lip Colour in Oak Table: Review and Swatches

5.10.13 34 Comments
This is my first buy from the Lakme 9 to 5 range and let me admit the packaging was the first reason why I wanted to own it,I have many other reasons now though. The range as it says is for the office-goers and the shades and texture of the lipstick is made keeping that in mind. I'm so happy Lakme has come up with a lippy that not boring and maroon..something I don't feel overwhelmed taking out in a ladies room.
Company Claims:
Lakme Nine to Five brings you a range of shades that sit on your lips all day long. Enriched with Vitamin E; it conditions your lips & softens them with wheat germ oil. So, perk those soft, smooth lips with a touch of matte.

How to Apply

  • Step 1: Stretch the lips and start at the center, putting on the lipstick to the corners.
  • Step 2: Blot the lipstick with a tissue. Make sure the lipstick has not smudged over the line of your lips

Key Features

Shades Available:
Lakme 9 to 5 Matte lip colour comes in 15 exciting and wearable shades.

  • Red Coat
  • Coffee Command
  • Brownie Point
  • Red Chaos
  • Oak Table (the one I have)
  • Tea Break
  • Toffee Nexus
  • Pink Slip
  • Pink Collar
  • Pink Bureau
  • Rose Management
  • Wine Play
  • Peony Goal
  • Scarlet Drill
  • Mauve Paced
My love for peachy lipsticks has landed me here. Oak Table is a peachy brown nude shade with lots of fine milled gold shimmer. Though the camera hasn't been able to capture, the shimmer is very obvious yet beautiful. It should actually not belong to the office stylist range. Its a gorgeous night time lippy. Infact it would have been my HG mlbb shade if it was devoid of shimmers.

Price/Quantity: INR 400 / 3.6ml

Packaging:
Oh yes I was eager to talk about this :)
The packaging makes it a winner in its price range. It comes wrapped in a cellophane inside an outer carton. The lipstick itself is in a rose-gold metallic tube..beautiful..classy...
Another thing that I liked is that they have the manufacturing date along with the shade name on the bullet sticker unlike other which have the details on the cellophane which gets thrown out.

The cap click lock and the packaging is sturdy and travel friendly.
Too Good!!!

Texture:
Well on applying, the lipstick feels like a creamy matte..a matte suited for dry lips as well but soon after it changes into a super matte finish. It seems a bit drying to my already dry skin. Oak Table makes the fine lines a bit more prominent. But every coin has two sides, the matte finish that makes it a bit drying ...makes it transfer resistant as well. Yes gals..you won't see your lipstick mark on that coffee mug or anywhere else for that matter ;) (Ahaan! its kiss-proof..totally!)

My Likes:
  • Beautiful packaging.
  • Creamy matte..no tugging!
  • Very pretty peachy brown nude shade.
  • Sturdy and travel friendly.
  • Transfer resistant.
  • Covers pigmentation in a single swipe.
  • Shimmers don't travel all over the face.
  • Stays for about 5 hours with meals.
My Dislikes:

  • Smells of Bay leaf (though it fades away within 10 min. of application)
  • False claim of 9 to 5.
  • Packed with shimmers.
  • Accentuates fine lines
  • Not for dry chapped lips
Last Word:
I love the shade and staying power but I'm not the biggest fan of super matte lippies and choc-a-block shimmers.

Repurchase:
Peony Goal may be...but not this one!

Over All Rating: 3.8/5

Ta-Daaa Facial Hair and Sayonara Parlour visits: Dono Super Stick- Review

3.10.13 19 Comments
They say a "stitch in time saves nine"..
I say a rip-rip in time saves time and effort for a parlour visit plus the jingles in your pocket.
Let's admit most of us visit parlours for our growths and  other beauty treatments follow eventually ;) While eyebrows can be helped with tweezers what about the upper lip growths?
Yes..now we have a DIY in that sphere too..the answer is... Dono Super Stick!

Description: (from a website)
This Facial Hair Remover is safe and easy to do at home without using cream or wax.
It pulls hairs directly from the root giving professional results and will keep your facial skin clean, smooth and tight so that beautiful make-up can be comfortably done in a speedy manner.
Carefully designed, excellent for use.
Pen size and light weight, take it wherever you go.
No skin darkening.
No batteries or electricity needed.
Removes hair from root & won’t remove skin.
No more waxing or painful tweezers.
Unlike waxing, this epilator does not remove a layer of skin.
Suitable for removing hairs on forehead, cheeks, and chin
Should not be used on eyebrows.
Total length: approx.19.5cm/7.7"; handle length: approx.4.5cm/1.8".
Material: PP (Polypropylene) and stainless steel
Color: Assorted (Pink, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow)

Directions for Use:
Bend the Remover into an upside down U shape and then place against the skin.
Holding the ends with your thumbs and forefingers, roll the Remover backwards and forwards in a continuous motion.
The hairs are trapped between the tightly coiled spring which grips and removes them in one swift movement
Clean your face, and then make up with cosmetics which you often use.

Price: Around a dollar..don't remember exactly!

My Take:
Dono Super Stick is a dupe of its costlier counterpart
REM spring only at a nano fraction of its cost. It is a spring with plastic handles on both the ends for easy grip. All you need to do is bend the Super Stick in an inverted U-shape,bring it closer to the skin where you want to remove hair, make it straight again and roll upwards...Ouch!

Yes it hurts..specially if its your first time! But we ladies are genetically designed to handle pain better..aren't we?
After all we tolerate so many pains everyday..for eg. pain due to our high heels, pain of our well manicured nail breaking, pain due to those huge danglers (God bless our ear lobes)pain due to waxing...pain pain pain...Bring it On!
This makes me think..this pain handling capacity we have could have been a catalyst behind giving us the power to carry a child and bring her into this world..

Ok..back to square one!
I got it from buyincoins, though its available at other sites as well. (I couldn't find it,else would have posted a link to it).It did hurt in the beginning but now I'm kinda conditioned to handle it! It picks up even the tiniest of hair and leaves the skin smooth. I just rub some ice post application or astringent some times. It has never broken me out or given rashes.

 My Likes:
1. I love DIYs.. makes me independent!
2. Very affordable.
3. Picks up the tiniest of hair.
4. Leaves the skin super-smooth.
5. Excellent for last minute emergencies.
6. Available at many oriental websites.
7. Never broke me out.
8. No rashes,redness...nothing!
9. Easy to carry.
10. Doesn't need any battery or electricity.

My Dislikes:
It hurts in the first few uses.

Last Word:
Its a wonder product for me!

Repurchase:
Its pretty sturdy .. what's gonna happen to this one?
Over All Rating: 4.5/5
